Mustangs take second in first round pool play. After a sluggish start, Pearce regrouped and defeated Grapevine in their first match, 18-25, 25-21, and 25-11.  They continued to roll against Creekview in Match #2 galloping away to a 25-14, 25-14 win. In a battle to clinch the top spot on the pool, the Mustangs faced off against Amarillo. At the end of the back and forth effort, the Sandies emerged victorious, 26-24 and 25-20.

Day 2 found the Mustangs facing Colleyville Heritage, the eventual tournament runner-ups. Pearce started strong ganiing a 7 point advantage. Slowly and steadily Heritage chipped away, nosing out the Mustangs at the wire, 25-23. Confidently, Heritage contiued to march through set 2, 25-15.

 Next up, PLano West. This match was a slugfest. Point for point, the two teams scrapped through two extended sets. Pearce wins the first 28-26; Plano West the second, 29-27. However, it was the Mustangs who found their rhythm in the third, 25-15. 

Flower Mound Marcus was the next hurdle in the Mustangs path.  Pearce followed form, waiting unitl the 3rd set to exert their dominance. Final scores, 25-19, 23-25, and 25-15. 

The Bronze Championship match pitted the Mustangs against old foes, McKinney Lions. Not sparing the drama, again...The two fought like brothers for 2 extended sets. But Pearce was able to put the last two point together in each set. 27-25, 28-26.

the Mustangs Bring home another 9th place finiish ubut couple it with a Bra=nze Championship this go-round.
